Program Description
Early detection and treatment of diabetes-related complications can help to reduce the overall cost of health care and burden for people living with diabetes. Complications may arise when individuals living with diabetes have high glucose levels or high levels of ketones, which can be a sign of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). This session will highlight recent advancements with the integration of continuous glucose monitoring with insulin pumps for automated insulin delivery systems, connected insulin pens, as well as the investigational use of continuous ketone monitoring, and the benefits of these technologies in minimizing diabetes-related complications. This session features patient counseling videos that illustrate the practical application of these integrated systems and tips to share with people living with diabetes.
